Jen Dowda

Jen Dowda

BA, MA, has been blessed to be working with seniors and their families for over 6 years. She is deeply passionate in her desire to come alongside these families during this uniquely challenging and often disorienting time in their lives. In order to truly be able to meet all the needs presented, and aware that she cannot personally be an expert in every field, she decided to put together the Dowda Senior Consultants team. As a person who loves nothing more than to be able to take care of others, this new company has literally been a dream come true – a culmination of all of her strongest gifts and longings.

In 2003, she moved to Virginia with her family as her husband Clint planted Grace Community Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsville. In 2005, she started Play Tennis, Hanover, employing over thirty coaches over the years, as well as teaching thousands of children and adults. In 2007, she was part of a team that brought Young Life Capernaum to Hanover County (a ministry for young adults with disabilities), and continues to volunteer with that ministry and be incredibly blessed by those who are a part of it. She is so grateful to look and see how God has been preparing her for this current role through all of the lessons she has learned and all of the ways she has grown and continues to grow from these opportunities. She currently lives in Mechanicsville, has four children, a ridiculously huge dog, and an incredibly blessed life. “It is hard for me to believe that what I do every day is my job – I consider it the greatest honor and privilege to get to care for families in the way that I do, and not a minute goes by that I do not cherish this job/ministry/business as a gift.”
